A Weekend at Home

Wow! It felt nice to stay at home this weekend.  Even if it was gross and rainy.  On Friday night we had a catfish fry with just the two of us.  You would have thought it was for a town.  On Saturday, our day consisted of cleaning the house (much overdue) and shopping for new sheets (lame).  It's the little things that have to get done!  Mack (steven's brother) came and spent the night last night.  We met some friends up at Wild Wings for lots of wings (75 to be exact).  This coming weekend, we will both be gone (typical).  I will be in Charleston for a high school girls weekend (holler) and Steven will be helping Mack move into a new apartment (great brother).  Weekends at home are hard to come by these days, but they sure are nice!

Spring Fever

Hola, followers! I am so ready for Spring weather.  There is nothing like being on the lake and taking walks outside with the pups! I am always so blah in the winter months. Why is that? The hardest part is hanging in there in school.  Spring break is not until April 25th.  Dweebs create the school calendar.  You know... the people who do not actually teach in the classroom. What can you do?

Hermit

Where did today go? I did not leave the house.  That's right! Not even to step outside. By the time I cleaned the house, gave Daisy a bath and did some grad work, it's nearly 7 pm. There was a nap in there somewhere.  In my defense, it was pouring down rain.  Where did the weekend go? Needless to say, I am happy to have Steven back home.  He went on a bachelor weekend this weekend and I missed him.  Weekends are a tease. Blah!

Let there be blog

I have always wanted to create a blog and I think it's the right time!  I think it's a great way to keep friends and family updated! Nothing too exciting going on here in Concord, NC, but I'm happy! Mom came to visit today and we saw Granny in her new nursing home.  I am very happy about the place and they are taking good care of her.  I feel a lot better about it now and I know mom does too.  Nursing homes aren't meant for people to go to and die.  They are places for people to go and live.
